Point-of-care diagnostics is a growing and dynamic industry helping to improve clinical and economic outcomes globally. Abbott is the world leader in rapid diagnostics at the point of care, with a focus on cardiometabolic disease, infectious disease, and toxicology.

Brand Challenge

When Abbott Laboratories acquired Alere Inc. in 2017, Abbott ended up with a part of the fastest-growing segment of the $50 billion in vitro diagnostics market. The resulting merger required massive re-branding of material from Alere to Abbott. Development, update and execution of product packaging material artwork design and labeling projects on behalf of Alere and 3rd party manufacturing sites for the commercialization of product was requested.


Packaging material re-design included Package Inserts, User Guides, Kit Boxes, Procedure and Quick Reference Guides. Conceptual designs were created for material layout and specifications as required to meet Abbott's artwork requirements as needed or requested by the GBU or business.
